It's amazing how much thinking-fiddling-work I can get done on Casebook (the research project, for which I'm getting neither pay nor credit) when we have a new fresh-blooded, pumped up gradstudent, carte blanche to redesign the system, and no need to use anything Java-like.

Also, the alternative is doing my physics homework :)

(but dude... it's looking like I'm going to end up doing something Lucene-like... only maybe in Lisp? ...)

(edit: omfg, physics homework can take a long time. also, I'm now a member of a clique of size 7, now that Ross rheavatarin and Andrew sault have friended each other.)
