what I saw over the weekend

- Tim neuroticmonk. I like his new place! He's doing cool things at work! He has this crazy side-project that he's working on. It's almost done; he showed me. It should make a pretty good splash for the .Net programmers out there...

- At breakfast with Tim: a cat on a leash! A big orange fluffy cat, sitting at an outside bagel-shop table, with his human, perched right there in a chair, being very well-behaved. Apparently this is a trained therapeutic cat (and the fellow is a cat trainer, from an obedience school), and he goes around to places (nursing homes? hospitals?) to deliver cat therapy. We asked the human about how you might train a cat. "Meh. Just like you'd train a dog."
