the kitties are turning five this spring.

The kitties are turning five this spring. I got what I think of as my "new" monitor in 2005; I suppose it would have been the summer I lived in the basement of the townhouse on 10th street; Yaël and Richard were living upstairs.

Geez. Ge'ez. That was a long time ago.

I suppose I should get something interesting done, huh? Now that it's the future?

Related! I might just be moody, but Passage made me tear up a little bit (it takes like five minutes to play, and it's cross-platform). Alternatively, there's a ten second version in Flash.

poetry meme!

"When my dad gave me one"

When my dad gave me one, it
may be you have received benefits,
and I do not; for
this time, forbade the idols of the things

of human beings but
in the absence of vice, that a time
like this cannot be touched
without experiment.

The poetry meme goes like this: "post poetry in your journal." (via [livejournal.com profile] eponis!)

The poetry bot meme goes like this: "Gnoetry applies the unfeeling magic of statistics to poetry. Alex should keep hacking on his poetry bot. Nick Montfort has these really cool minimalist poetry generators. Maybe you should write a poetry bot too.
