impulse buy!!

One of these... early birthday present to myself? I'm thinking that it's going on the righthand side of the desk, hooked up to the KVM, where the vt220 is right now. We'll see, though... maybe we could put it out in the living room.

As Mel [livejournal.com profile] delamancha pointed out, it's quite irrational to use this as a part of a bargain with myself to make me sit down and translate San Manuel Bueno, Martír into English, but I consciously realize this, and I'm doing it anyway.

As long as we know that our actions are intentionally irrational, that makes them rational (i.e. thought-out and decided upon), right?

... perhaps... *grins* So does rationalizing an action make it rational?
