printf("shiver in eternal darkness/n"); is a pretty awesome name for an album.

Finals week is a good time for introspection.

I've determined that failure-recovery is not one of my good qualities. When I start to screw something up, it gets really screwed up. If I'm winning, I win, but once I start losing, I lose hard. (anecdotally, Martin [livejournal.com profile] samarin can come back from the edge of defeat to beat me at videogames, for example, but without momentum, I'm toast)

Which is interesting in light of the final I'm about to take, which relates to scalable and gracefully-degrading distributed operating systems. Thankfully, it's the last big thing for the semester. Which has degraded fairly non-gracefully.

I'm okay :) Alright, go go gadget exam-taking!

I know what you mean about semesters decaying non-gracefully...

...having had that happen myself more than a few times.  Failure-recovery can be learned through experience, though I wouldn't recommend taking that route if you can manage to avoid it.  If you can't, on the other hand, well...  A little schizophrenia and a lot of alcohol goes a long way.(Or is that the other way around?)
