one day, he'll stop yammering about this job application thing

Okay, the whole google application thing is now out of my hands; they've got eight interviews, an updated transcript, my fresh-off-the-pdflatex resume/CV/thing, and everything that the entire internet has ever known about me. That was pretty lengthy. I'll have a Final Answer next week, apparently. My recruiter, who's been super-nice this whole time, says prospects are very good, having gotten this far (past the NYC committee, now the executive dudes in California have to decide), but I want to be more like "pleasantly surprised" if it works out instead of Pretty Disappointed if it doesn't... I ordered a Dinosaur Comics shirt to pseudo-celebrate, the "Professor Science" one.

I'ma go apply for some other jobs, just in case.

Oh, I suppose I should be doing work for that whole "still a gradstudent" thing too, huh?

The [livejournal.com profile] sault-man cometh, tomorrow. w00t :)

If you get the job, do consider NYC. I'm there every now and again for work, and we could hang out together wearing Dinosaur Comics shirts. (I've got the "skateboarding out of a friggin' crashing helicopter" one!)

(only if shouting "extreeeeme!" is involved)

Waal, whether or not transfers are involved (I really do like Atlanta), it's pretty likely that I'd be making visits to Mountain View and NYC anyway :)

Also! Chickens and injective functions with the natural numbers, or something?
