Today, so far, I got up ridiculously early to get ready for a meeting for the class which I'm TA'ing.

Then I settled down to read my computational linguistics textbook, but took a little nap on the couch in my lab. I was awakened by a phone call from the florist down the street!

Lindsey's mom Marian deepdistraction totally sent me Birthday Flowers! They tried to deliver them, but I wasn't where they expected, so I ended up taking a walk downtown to pick them up. And then I carried a big vase of flowers down Kirkwood Avenue, back to the CS building. I tried to maintain a pretty neutral expression, for extra comedic value. Thanks thanks, Marian! :)

(also, omg -- Lindsey totally found me an NES 2. We played Super Mario Brothers last night without blowing on the cartridge first. Luckiest boy, etc)

Almost time for another class, woo! I'm pretty pumped about my classes.

Bah, she's totally pampering you. It's just not an NES session without blowing/nudging/pulling the cartridge out until just before the point that it can't be pushed down. What's next, chewing your food for you?
