between now and then...

not done yet:
  • philosophy paper: Plotinus, emanationism, probably particularly about his metaphor with the sun effortlessly shining out...
  • compilers project: one milestone to go. Due on the day of the final... this is the big one. Somehow allocate registers and spit working MIPS assembly...
  • machine translation project: get it finished. Figure out what to do about words in one language that translate to more than one word in the other one...
  • for research: be ready to take over running the Casebook system for next semester, because Nick is graduating.
  • arrangements for next year...
Things that are done:
  • Lucene whitepaper for technical communications
  • The second-to-last compilers project
  • most of the coding for research, for this semester at least

Assuming there aren't any prereqs, I would love to do that. I also suspect that taking that class with you would be a wonderful thing.

I do believe there are no prereqs (because I wouldn't have them, if there were any), and Marty's signed up for it as well :) :)
