• philosophy paper: Plotinus, emanationism, probably particularly about his metaphor with the sun effortlessly shining out...
  
• compilers project: one milestone to go. Due on the day of the final... this is the big one. Somehow allocate registers and spit working MIPS assembly...
  
• machine translation project: get it finished. Figure out what to do about words in one language that translate to more than one word in the other one...
  
• for research: be ready to take over running the Casebook system for next semester, because Nick is graduating.
  
• arrangements for next year...

Things that are done:

• Lucene whitepaper for technical communications
  
• The second-to-last compilers project
  
• most of the coding for research, for this semester at least

Hey, I have a question. Do you have any suggestions on particular philosophy classes that might be interesting? I'm looking for another class to take in the spring.

I'm signed up for JJJ (http://www.spp.gatech.edu/people/faculty/jjohnston.htm)'s Modern Philosophy, and I expect that it's going to be loffly... it's like the second half of his Ancient class, which I'm taking now. Actually, if you need a seat in the class, I can hook you up, because I'm planning on dropping it and just sitting in, because I don't need the credit. I suspect taking that class with you would be a wonderful, wonderful thing :)

I second the recommendation for Moderm Philosophy w/Johnston. Awesome class. I need to sit in on his Eastern Philosophy class.
