The Cricket World Cup is coming up next week, and Sri Lanka is playing. Go Sri Lanka! :) Cricket players seem to have a wider age range than most other professional athletes... many 30-somethings on the Sri Lankan team.

I'm currently nursing a cup of tea made from leaves from that particular area of the world. It's pretty tasty. Thanks, Duminda :)

Today... I'm figuring out how to make an ebuild, then putting together one for everybody's favourite mp3 player, the venerable, reliable, script-worthy, and super-Unix-y amp. I'm kinda surprised that there isn't one otherwise around.

Maybe I'll do some actual classwork as well. That'd probably be a good idea. I'll definitely go and run.

Speed metal is really amusing :) Thank you, Marty...

My ebuild works, yay! Thing next is just to figure out how to get it submitted to the gentoo folks appropriately. It looks as though this involves CVS. Soon enough, the entire gentoo-speaking world will have at its disposal the immense industrial power of... a commandline mp3 player written in 1997! I would be very well pleased to get this put into the portage collection... quite an honor that'd be. *laughs* Considering how the opensource world seems to be gradually moving to Ogg anyway... might not make a difference. I will now employ my generally useful argument for this sort of issue: "Eh!"

If you're in Atlanta and the idea of a war against Iraq disturbs you, you might find this interesting. Apparently 15 Feb is a national day of getting-together-and-protesting... rather important, this. Come on out and make some noise.

Okie, going to run now.
