There's a place where we all go...
Aug. 5th, 2003 01:51 amYou know what I did today? I got new tires for Geekmobile, after picking him up from the dealer, where he was getting checked-over and oil-changed. So now we should all be set for the Trip to Michigan... very excining things, new tires. We leave on Saturday. That's Obscenely Soon.
Tonight, I popped off to the gym, where, as is often the case, I ran into Garrett (
lomonthang -- say hi to Garrett, everybody!), so that was cool... and I'm sore again. Oh yesh :) We went to Javaheads, later on in the evening, and that was entertaining...
I showed up a good bit before Garrett did, which gave me a while to figure out how to get on their wireless network -- that's a super-open network. You can just hop right on. That's about the most anonymous 'net connection I've seen, anywhere... you could be anybody. Just walk in off the street with your wireless card and let the 'spl0iting begin. Nobody could ever find you...
We AIM'd with Cimmy (
the_glory_girl) for a while, and Garrett was explaining to her about how, on a microscopic level, I'm actually female (or alternately, a bonobo). I drank some coffee and ate a muffin, which explains why I'm still awake. Cimmy, as of late, has been trying to hijack my birthday party while at the same time, proposing marriage. I'm not entirely sure what to make of either of these things, although we're currently chatting.
The grandparentals showed up this afternoon, and it's interesting, I think, how mother's parents (whom I love dearly) don't seem to find mom's athletic exploits particularly interesting. I think it's great, personally, and if you've been around me for more than a few minutes (fascinating guy that I am) I've probably tried to explain to you how my maternal has, all of a sudden, started getting super-buff -- and I'm wondering if her parents come from a time and place where buff-ness isn't important, or even particularly valued, for mothers.
Eh. Nothing particularly important. Go back to your regularly scheduled lives! Except put Garrett (
lomonthang) on your friends list first.
