All sorts of stuff... I think last time I wrote, I was in an intensely blah sort of mood, feeling kinda alienated and alone and awkward and other words that start with 'A'. I felt better pretty soon after that, largely as a result of heading over the Apartment #2 and hanging out with people -- we baked banana bread and played video games and consumed alcohol, as exciting as that is. It's better than sitting alone and feeling isolated without any idea how to fix that.

shadowfax04 can bake an excellent banana bread. And since then, we've been hanging out with Apartment #2 people rather a lot, which is happy :)
Possibly interesting snippets of life:
- On Monday, I was hanging out in Bill's office (he teaches CS2130, the class I TA for), and ended up going to lunch with him and Monica, which was entertaining. I had some sammiches in my backpack, so I ate those instead of buying something at Tin Drummer (the boycott continues), but it was entertaining hanging out with them. The CoC is a lovely place, and it's just a good thing when you get invited to go to lunch with faculty... Monica gets excited about talking about her cat, which was interesting, not so much because of the cat, but because that was what she chose to talk about...
- There was a girl walking around with a fluffy/plush astronaut helmet, going between the IC and the stucen. It said "NASA" on the side. She seemed to be amused, and I thought it was cool.
- Last night, I hacked up a homework for 2130, and it's currently released, and the students are working on it, and that's oddly satisfying. I think the best part of writing homeworks is the opportunity to put together a stupid background story. In this particular one, Dr. Octavio Jenkins gets into a back-alley brawl with a gang of rival mathematicians, and you have to write some functions that approximate square roots for him (using Newton's algorithm for approximating sqrts) because his calculator got hit with a stray protractor during the fracas. Very exciting.
- I rearranged my room. It's a good thing to assert control over one's space every so often... I think I like this layout better.
- Kung Fu is going to be cool.
- I'm going to Lake Tahoe on Thursday evening... can't go wrong with that :)
It's Unequivocally Time To Pass Out!!
