"... why the sea is boiling hot..."
Feb. 17th, 2004 06:40 pmIt's been a while since I updated...
But you know what? I came up with a pretty good analysis of that last dream I posted...
So essentially, in my dream, Corey is part of this organization (psiu) that puts him in relationship with this strong paternal figure (Atari), which gives him a guarantee that, when he puts his stored value (money) into a particular account, even if his corporeal thing (the sandals) break, the strong paternal figure will sort things out and give him a new and better one. Does this sound like a dream about Corey and the Catholic church and faith to anybody else? And while the mapping from Atari to the Pope or God, or psiu to the Church... eh... well... you know...
I came up with that while out running through midtown, Saturday evening... I was also, at that point, compiling a list of things that piss me off. I don't think I'll post that -- some combination of things, which included Valentine's Day, got me quite upset, which is good for running, but perhaps not so good for general well-being. My list, as I was thinking about it, evaluated out to mean that I was pretty down on both myself and people like me, and people who aren't like me as well. So not only self-loathing, but also bigotry and xenophobia. Awesome :)

... but I'm feeling much better than that now :) And a bunch of people (Mel included) were around for Valentine's Day evening, and that was pleasing, and we got to nearly start a rumble with the Steak 'n' Shake staff, so there's really not much to complain about there.
My hair is getting really big. I wonder how big it can get, before it falls over. Over the summer, and into October, I'd been shaving my head, and I haven't cut it since then...
I feel like I had all of these wonderful events to record... but I don't know what to write about. We did the furry convention. We went to LatinVixen (aka Val)
latinvixen02's discussion on building fursuits, and this was super-informative... and really made me appreciate what goes into building a mascot costume.
And Esther? I think your earlier suspicions about the furry fandom were mostly right... they had some pretty well strange pr0n for sale at the convention. It feels like there's almost two different groups at play here, that happen to come to the same conventions -- the urge to wear a big dog suit, that makes sense to me ... but the rest of it, I don't find quite so appealing. Goal for spring break? Locate and snag the Thunder King by any means necessary.
Aside from that... I've mostly been just wasting time, or running, or working on stuff. Not a lot to say. Although I somehow managed to say a lot. Lo que sea.
Peace out :)
