"Hey, is this Eddie?"
May. 29th, 2004 07:29 pmYou may notice that I'm listening to Los Amigos Invisibles... many thanks go to Brett
zip4096 for introducing me to what may very likely be the world's greatest Venezuelan gentle-bossa-nova-D&B-disco band :)
Today's been pretty interesting, thus far. We (Ross
rheavatarin and Tim
neuroticmonk and I) set off out into the world, with a mind to eat some burritos and snag tickets for RENT, which is opening on Tuesday at the Fox.
So we did that :) But we ran into TA Scott and his friend Hai and told them about our nefarious plot to go see RENT, so they came along with us to snag tickets, and now everybody's set up. Also, while we were out, we found a random cellphone sitting face-down on the sidewalk on Peachtree... so I picked it up, and we chose an arbitrary number from the address book ("Eddie"), and it turns out that the phone belongs to one "Elijah". Very exciting. We've got a phone number for him now, so I should call and try to track him down...
And then we had coffee and wrote code at Caribou. I might be simple-minded, but I really don't see how the 4210 project is going to be complex... the design seems really simple, really clean, but then again, I'm probably missing some subtle issue somewhere. But then again... eh... I dunno. After two semesters of mostly writing LISP, everything seems relaxed and simple and clean... what could possibly go wrong?
