The evening's proceedings, so far...

Marty samarin and I, totally extemporaneously, just created a sad, sad song about a vampire on his way to outer space in a rocket ship... who has a stake in his heart, and can no longer be with his vampire progeny, so he tells his vampire-progeny to go to outer space without him.

It brings a tear to my eye. It had a lot of A-minor chords in it. And a few Gs.

Also: earlier on tonight, we were working out, with set theory, why it can't be that all of these statements are true (even vis-a-vis how the set of my children is empty): "All of Alex's children reproduce asexually", "All of Alex's children are members of the set 'Things That Are Alex's mother'", "Things that are in the set 'Alex's Mother' do not reproduce asexually'".
