considerations for thursday
Aug. 6th, 2004 04:30 amToday, I slept a whole lot...
But then, in a flury of activity (after I arose at the crack of 3pm), Natalie and I went shopping for a machine -- and we actually brought one home today, after some trials and tribulations at compusa. Their prices may be set by Apple, but this doesn't prevent their sales guys from being confused. So la hermanita is now the proud owner of a shiny new 12"/1GHz/768meg iBook, yay :) That's a pretty computer.
Also, in the evening, we popped out to see mom's show -- sort of a broadway revue sort of deal. And she's brilliant, and there were chunks from RENT, and a number of the other people involved were entertaining, so it was interesting, if it didn't seem to have its aspirations set too high. I mean, it's a bunch of disjoint musical numbers. *shrugs*
Later on, in a stroke of bizarreness, Natalie and I and two of her friends from highschool ended up at "Brothers" ("Tallahassee's pan-sexual playground") -- it's more or less a running gag taken too far. *'notha shrug* Essentially just a bunch of lonely people standing around, some of them drinking or smoking, with loud music playing to disguise the situation -- that it's just a bunch of people standing around... also, there was a drag show, which I think other people found much more amusing than I did. Holy crap, I'm in a cheerful mood. Oh, but afterwards, we used the new machine to do some research on... Dave Coulier? Can't go wrong there. *grins broadly* You guys were aware that he was the voice of Venkman on the ghostbusters cartoon, a million years ago?
Yeah, I've been disenchanted with the whole Going Out thing for a while, I think.
( incoherent tallahassee-centric rant )
On the path to sanity. We'll get it all figured out.
