thoughts for friday night

From the BBC: 'Arrest threat' to Rumsfeld trip.
- I want to be a rock star. Or at least I want to spend more time playing guitar. If you're around, anybody, please make more music with me. And let's work on it and get good, and play surf rock. Or reggae. Or flamenco, or perhaps just very simple 12-bar blues. Also, please tell me to pull out my trombone, and please bring all of your horns with you, and please be able to work out the chords necessary to put horn parts into the ska that we should be playing. Thank you.
- Maybe Ashok has some interesting research projects going. Or maybe there'll really be interesting computational-linguistics stuff happening at GTRI, and maybe they'll let me get involved with it. I need to be doing something...

The US defence secretary has said he is considering whether to attend a conference in Germany, where he may face arrest for war crimes.That's just interesting. If you were watching CNN, would you know that?
