inverted sleep schedules and neural nets
Feb. 10th, 2005 01:28 amSo basically, I was really tired this morning (and felt bad about it, but slept instead of going to my first class), and I was likely running up a deficit...
... so early this evening, I went to bed and didn't get up 'til 11pm! And now my sleep schedule is more or less inverted, yay! :)
(tonight: more Machine Learning project. ML is kinda cool, although just on a pragmatic "this is clever and works pretty well" level than a "this helps us understand what we mean by 'intelligent'" sort of level. Assuming that's what we're going for with the whole AI thing, which not everybody agrees about. But I realized, a few days ago, that my twelve-year-old self would be really impressed if somebody came up and told him about building a neural net, or "doing AI"... there was this beautiful sixth-grade mysticism about neural networks... and now I'm doing it. Kinda cool :) )
