From the Times to the BBC to the CNN...
May. 19th, 2005 11:05 am- I've been amazed and pissed off at the extent to which this has not been front page news. From CNN. Bush asked to explain UK war memo.
- Here's The Memo itself. The Blair camp apparently hasn't denied its veracity, just tried to explain the context. So why no impeachment hearings yet?
From The Memo in the Times:
- Also: now we have hot water in the house, and I've got a comfy, fluffy futon :) So if anybody wants to come visit, you could totally sit on the futon, or take a hot shower if you need one. In fact, if you're all sweaty, shower before sitting on my futon, because it's new and clean, and that's where I sleep!
Eighty-nine Democratic members of the U.S. Congress last week sent President George W. Bush a letter asking for explanation of a secret British memo that said "intelligence and facts were being fixed" to support the Iraq war in mid-2002.Has this been all over your news?

From The Memo in the Times:
It seemed clear that Bush had made up his mind to take military action, even if the timing was not yet decided. But the case was thin. Saddam was not threatening his neighbours, and his WMD capability was less than that of Libya, North Korea or Iran.- Nobody's surprised, clearly -- but just the relative quietness with which this story's broken! Surely it'll be picking up momentum, but I first heard about it just a few days ago, on the "alternative voices" radio show on WREK...
