thing next: research meeting at Borders.
Jul. 5th, 2005 10:16 am- I went to Florida to visit the father's family, and it was lovely. I had a much better time in Delray (one expects it was "Del Rey" at some point) than I've had in the past, and we visited and hung out at the pool and ate tasty food and remarked at how remarkably tall my cousin Bernard got -- he's 14 now, his voice is changed, and he's long and gangly in that fourteen-year-old sort of way :) Hooray! Also: Grandma Renee successfully turned 77. And on the plane back, I chatted with a lady from Iceland who works as a charter pilot for NetJets, flying corporate jets for the ridiculously wealthy who need to be places quickly. She was pretty cool. And now I have a lobster bib.
- Other than that: camp is over, and now we're coding for the KSI project. Gotta head out to a meeting for that pretty soon.
- There are some pretty awesome folks in the world :) Sometimes, it's just comfortable and easy to be around people, and it's greatly pleasing. And sometimes, they have a random interest in semiobscure electronic music (but different from mine!) and cheerful absurdity and fuzzy animals and zombies and dreams and learning about stuff. It happens.
