Atlanta Underground Film Festival, tonight! Come see Brett's cartoons and some other ones too at the Eyedrum!!

- Sorry for hackmode.org being down :-\ A hard drive died. But not the one that had your stuff on it; that's a different drive. B-UNIT [livejournal.com profile] zip4096 has offered to give it a temporary home, which is super-nice of him :) DSL at our house should be up probably next week, or at least before the world ends.

- Right now, languages for distributing computing (or "some of my code is running here, some of it over there") put the burden of deciding what gets run where on the programmer. What if you had a language/environment that had some semi-clever way to decide which machine runs what, when? And what if it was a purely-functional subset of Scheme? Would that be harder to do than I think? [0]

[0] Note that in former times, when hackmode was up, I might have asked this question on my blog over there.
