Nov. 15th, 2006 09:07 pm- Life keeps on happening, despite calls from the constituency for it to take a break for a while so we can catch our collective breath...
- My List of PhD Places is thankfully shrinking now -- I just ruled out like three schools! Yay applying for college for the third time. I guess the second time hardly counted; they make it pretty easy to stay on at gatech. Now I just need some recommendations and a general GRE... hrmmm. The whole thing is a little unnerving. It'll be fine, though... just put out those applications, see who bites, and pick the most interesting school and advisor, right?
- Atlanta Marathon. Thanksgiving morning. Me and Graham and about a thousand other people. Twenty six point two miles. Speed, glory and majesty? (definitely food afterwards, with Laura
laurapatt's folks!)
- Sorry if you happen to read

- And a brace of links: Food Not Bombs, feeding the homeless! (via Whitney
elysianboarder). Also, Hands On Atlanta does stuff all the time, not just on Hands On Atlanta Day. You can always be volunteering for stuff. I need to find a project... where did those Computer Clubhouses go again? ...
- Oh, and: Sonic Generator is a wild musical happening at Georgia Tech -- they had a concert last night, and it rocked out pretty hard! It's a collaboration between a bunch of creative people from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the GVU, and the Music Tech program here. And and... Squarepusher Interview on the BBC, featuring Andre 3000! (thank you,
threv)
