I ran into one of my old labmates today -- Amon Millner is back in Atlanta, visiting and doing stuff for the Computer Clubhouses. I'd known him when he was a lowly master's student (and I was a lowly freshman!), but now he's at MIT, doing his thing with the Media Lab. His group just put out Scratch, which is a rocktastic art/programming/whatev environment for kids that lets you put together little cartoons and music and stuff. I'd played with a pre-release version this summer; it's pretty hot. Watch the Facilitorial here!
Also, he knows the One Laptop Per Child crew, and helps out with that sometimes!
