laurapatt came to visit yesterday, and it was pretty awesome :) We went to the gym and swam laps and went on the water slide. Swimming is really hard! I'm getting better at it, but maybe it'll be easier with some better equipment, like goggles that can fit on my face in light of The Schnoz. Also, we watched Run Lola Run, which I'd not seen yet, but I'm glad I have now :)
- "I will inhabit any fantasy world that will put Shredder on my body". Wondermark (by David Malki !) on the dilemmas facing the modern intelligentsia in a world where our most cherished childhood memories come from pop culture...
- This past weekend, we saw Kin 4 Life and Team Gina and Rising Appalachia at eyedrum. I was particularly a fan of Kin 4 Life, but they were all great, if you're into the sort of thing. And Grahamcola_fan was there, and his friend Kelley theanosrequiem, noted video artist from Canadaville, was in town to visit. Eventually we all showed up at the 11:11 teahouse and met Brett zip4096 and William and some other creative kids. Yay for exciting people and art and whatnot :)
