the dreams and the childrens
Jun. 5th, 2007 05:56 pmMy kids at camp are tiny and clever and polite and musical! They've been making their little robots sing songs (like the intro to Stairway to Heaven, other standard rock songs, and the occasional classical piece -- kids these days! So talented!) ... and building twirly rides ("torture devices", sometimes) for Lego people, and one kid, Wyatt, totally built a little car that flashes lights and drives around while playing music. Other cool projects have made use of sensors, like blinking little lights when you press a button, or spinning something faster or slower depending on how much noise you make, or countdown timers -- looping and variables are not immediately obvious, but the knowledge is spreading -- I'm having the kids explain it to one another.
And when it's time to go, they clean up the little robot kits so quickly, sometimes without being asked. So well-mannered. "Well, I went to Cotillion", one explained.
And I took a nap.
( And I had one of those weird trying-to-wake-up dreams... ) If you dream about sleep paralysis, is it real sleep paralysis?
