the past week -- and resolutions!

rockstarling hopped her plane back to Portland-ville this afternoon, and should be back at home now, but it was super-fantastic having her around :) We went to some kick-awesome parties over the past few days (pictures forthcoming). Python was hacked. Karaoke was sung. Rock Band was rocked, and a lot of friends that I should really see more often were sawn. Yay, everybody!
And this past Friday, we recorded a song! Here it is, for your listening pleasure. Rob
poodleface played bass and did all the hard recording-and-mixing work, and Yuna
unya played the Casio VL-Tone with style and grace. I'm on drums and backup vocals, and Lindsey is playing the keyboard and singing (and harmonizing, with herself).
Also. ING Georgia Marathon, we're doing it up. \m/ I think I can do this in a bit less of a haphazard way than last Thanksgiving's race (which was awesome!)... but perhaps a more methodical training schedule and better pacing will result in a less-painful 26th mile. But Lindsey is good at this, so that should help :)
Here's the plan.
- Eat more vegetables, and more of them chopped up fresh and cooked by me. Less prepackaged food; less packaging. (Your assignment: Come to my house and eat delicious vegetables with me.)
- Read more, and read more consciously. Take notes. Make blogposts.
- Stretch more. Lift.
- In general: be more conscious, and develop better habits for doing so.
