internship done!
Aug. 21st, 2010 12:10 amIt was kind of emotional leaving again -- much less so than last time, but still...
But! Just this week, we got some really good results on the thing! Maybe it'll get published, and then I can tell you all what it is!
I spent the past few days furiously documenting my stuff and getting it checked in. Bunch of late nights recently; and I was working until about 7:30pm today, even. I'm pretty sure people will be able to figure it all out, even the pile of shell scripts that kicks off the experiments.
Yesterday evening, we went as a group to FUERZA BRUTA, which is this this crazy experimental dance performance and party scenario. Amazing acrobatics and some of the most furiously energetic dancing I've seen. Also, audience participation and smashing big styrofoam-like squares over people's heads! (including mine!) It's amazing what an ice-breaker comedic slapstick is -- there's nothing left to do but dance in that situation. Also, there was mist and wind and fake smoke in the theater, and people running and tumbling along the walls, oriented horizontally... so amazing. (I went back to the office to work some more, after having a good conversation about MT with Shankar Kumar...)
Tonight, after working for too long and turning in our badges and OTP fobs with an air of slight melancholy, we got a bunch of interns together and headed out for Chinese food.
And tomorrow: Lindsey
lindseykuper shows up! And then we're on our way back to Indiana, refreshed and pumped up, ready to play with the kitties and do that grad school thing some more!
