I made enchiladas! They were pretty delicious.
Sorry if you weren't here to have some -- we didn't use up all the ingredients, so I'm totally going to make more in the near term.
Oh! Martin! I got you some Portland beer too (as if it was 2008); I think I forgot to mention that earlier.
We're gradually learning, over years, what we're like: one thing about us is that Lindsey works really hard, and that my base instinct is to need kind of a lot of attention. But she gets really wrapped up in a problem and wants to keep working for long hours. I'm getting better at not bothering her when she's focused on something (a related fact is that context-switches are relatively expensive for her) -- but she's also getting more mindful that I need pings pretty often. She was working pretty late tonight, while I was making the enchiladas, and, totally aware that I was expecting her and that I might be worried that she, eg, slipped on a banana peel in the Mozilla microkitchen or something, she used her shell script that sends me an email with this text: "still working -- I love you! <3"
I'm glad she's got that script. (which, uh... I wrote.)
