so much stuff
Feb. 21st, 2012 01:30 amHrm, terrible about posting again!
But in the past few weeks, I've been doing *so much stuff*.
We developed a bunch of new features on Truthy, the website I work on where you can explore how people are talking about US politics on Twitter.
We wrote a paper about those new features. We totally leaked the preprint of the paper at arXiv! I started putting things on arXiv!
Karissa presented it at a workshop!
Then I fixed big piles of bugs related to those features (and also put on my web design hat and fixed some layout issues), in time for Fil to go to AAAS and present about Truthy...
Also: I learned a lot about tree transducers! I did some actual work on my actual research with Mike! (need to do more of this really fast, of course)
And I ran and ran and ran (all logged on fitocracy, if you're interested).
This weekend, I gave a talk at the mini-conference thing here at IU, then promptly fell asleep and basically didn't get up until Monday morning.
Upshots: arXiv rules. More science, more open access faster. Run run run run.
