I'm really fortunate -- usually everything's working right. But around the middle of last month, I got sicker than normal and all my joints stopped working, like simultaneously. It was really distressing!

Early in the month, I'd had a very nice half marathon, and I was feeling fine... but then my back seized up, my ankles and feet started hurting so bad I didn't want to run, I got a really bad cold that ended up causing an ear infection, where I pretty much couldn't hear people talking.

It was like wearing an empathy system. So awful.

But I got pills for the ear infection, and that cleared up, and I stretched and stretched and took a break from running for a while -- and eventually self-diagnosed with plantar fasciitis, then saw a doctor who confirmed it. It's really common in runnerfolk. The doctor gave me some pills for that too, and some new stretches to do, and he reminded me to ice my feets.

... and now I think I'm good to run again! I'll be careful, but I've started easing back into it this weekend. I need to keep with the icing and the stretching. Not running suuuucks.

Humans bodies, man. Human bodies.
