You should come out next week!
Track meet!

oniugnip didn't set any land speed records, but for doing almost no sprinting for the past few years, it wasn't s'bad.
400m: Didn't have a good idea where I was, so I ran in the Very Slow heat, went out thinking "why isn't anybody coming with me?". It turns out that one gentleman must've been drafting, because he busted out with like 100m to go and burnt me (think an african-american version of Coach Z; ie, me in 20 years). Second place, 61 seconds! (in highschool, I would do it in like 57; maybe I'll beat that in two weeks...)
1500m: Everybody's favorite "not quite the mile" event. I was a little nervous, having never raced a mile-like event in competition. And still a little tired from the 400. Went out medium-okay, got a little slow and achy, out-sprinted somebody out of spite at the end. About 5:55. I'll do better next week, with a clearer sense of what it means to race the mile. I can't quite conceptualize racing a 5K in a non-roadrace situation.

You should run again, yes :) Running rocks out hard. I imagine you're probably pooped at the end of the day, though.
