birthday weekend updates

It's been such a lovely birthday weekend :)

Thanks to everybody who came out to the party on Friday, or sent happy facebook or LJ messages, or whatever! We have so much alcohol left over; there may have to have another party. Or if you come para visitar la casa de Martín y Alejandro, feel free to help yourself a una cerveza. Porqué tenemos a bunch, for serious.

I'm kicking into high gear for the running training -- tonight I did the mall-and-back run. I've got a pretty stable schedule now, so I'ma try to get out and hit the sidewalks every day right after work. Miriam got me these hilarious awesome shoes (which I asked for) that are supposed to simulate barefoot running while keeping your toes from getting cut up on the broken glass and hypodermic needles littering the mean streets. I'll probably use these on alternating days, or maybe just for running in the park. They feel really nice!

We always have the problem of alcohol accumulation after a party... I really don't know how it happens. Obviously, we need to send people back to their cars when they arrive at the door with a "donation" and only allow in the moochers!

The problem is that our friends don't drink enough -- how can we encourage our posse(s) to greater feats of lush-ness?
