There comes a time in one's culinary development, when you come to understand there are things that would not be better with hummus.

I haven't reached that point with guacamole yet.

On a related note: I have the impression (AmericanCulturalAssumption) that many of our parents grew up eating neither hummus nor guacamole. And that there weren't Thai restaurants all over the place? There are some benefits to being alive right now.

I haven't reached that point yet with guacamole either. :O

And I still have yet to try it on my biggest curiosity -- I have this feeling that it would be excellent on a baked potato.

I enjoy both hummus and guacamole immensely, but the thought of combining them doesn't ring with me. I like my hummus to have some texture to it, and I like my guac to be chunky and creamy (I usually mix in some sour cream to make my avocados go further).

And dammit Alex, now I want both.

Also, yeah, it used to be hip and edgy to go out for Thai food! Isn't that weird?
