rock 'n' roll promoting!
My friend Blake Daffin has a rock band, Last Will Illuminate, and they've recently (a) moved to Nashville, and (b) (importantly!) released a new album free online!
And the album rocks really hard: it makes me want to go practice the drums. It sounds... maybe a bit like Tool? Hard rock with shifting tempos, pretty intricate guitar-ing, and tenor vocals. Verging on metal-ish, minus the screams. They describe themselves as progressive rock. Definitely worth a listen!

(which reminds me -- I should comment on Hella Gems more often; Bill and Rob especially have been putting up some really good stuff!)
