astroturfing about Haifa? ...

Not too long ago, I went to Haifa for a conference and took some pictures. OK, cool!

Just a few days ago, somebody started leaving some weird, defensive comments about the city on my pictures.
"most of the hotels and public facilities are now ADA, this hotels website states that it does not have disabled friendly rooms and access."

"and unfortunately, a magnet for tourist cameras."
... etc. And I'm wondering, who is this person? The username is "haifa"/"haifanews", and it seems to be somebody with some kind of political ax to grind about the city, but I'm not sure what it is.

Pretty good way to weird people out on the Internets, though. I hope the city and the country as a whole are savvy enough not to sponsor this sort of activity. They've got enough PR problems as it is, what with the bulldozers.

wow, "hope you didn't fall!". Maybe it's just a PR AI that hates it's job.

Did you ever hear about "Mark's Terrible Idea", for some startup starting-up event? It was something almost that crazy. (although I like the idea of auto-PR more than I should)

It was like a tool to semi-automate the astroturfing process: maybe he can chime in with the name of the thing, or the details, if he's reading this...
