Sleep tonight? Seems unlikely...

Tonight we're working on prob-stat and the play for Spanish... and mathworld is super-useful for the former... and one of the most important things I've found on there is ... the dreaded Frivolous Theorem of Arithmetic!!

Life is good, deep down inside. I do this because I choose to do this. There's no great need or moral imperative... I just have arranged things such that, if I'm going to get both of these things done on time, I can't really sleep tonight, and I've made the judgement call that I'd rather get them done. So there! You know, I used to be a lot better at the whole all-nighter thing... just haven't had the occasion to do this, this semester...

... and I went and lifted with Chris V, earlier, and he's pretty well strong, and just generally good company. He's got a tendency to discuss philosophy and AI and whatnot -- we were mulling over the problem of "what is humanity/sentience/will?"... which comes down to the whole Determinism Question, normally. Chris gets many cool points.

Hrm. Back to probstat.

Ahh the Determinism Question! Sounds a bit like the Subject/Object reader debate I was having last night...how lucky to be able to have that conversation while weightlifting... I was just sitting around, and was quite winded afterward.

I pulled my first all-nighter last year. There's something nice, of course, about getting a lot of work done, but the best part is, just as you are getting tired, the sky starts to pinken and it begins all over again! lovely...

Ah yes. Mathworld is my friend. When I'm doing homework, you can often find me either working on the whiteboard or looking something up on mathworld. Alternatively, scienceworld is at least as useful, though not quite as complete.
