- Your control over any individual finger is much less fine-grained than you thought.

- I learn things best when I'm not doing them (which is to say that taking breaks is helpful)... sleeping is normally good for integrating new information. While I'm still not particularly good, the guitar-ing is coming along nicely :) Terribly satisfying...

- I went home Wednesday afternoon, saw the family (and Matt [livejournal.com profile] monsignorsmith and the grandparentals were around, yay!) and went to Natalie's graduation, which was lovely :) ... and then on Thursday morning, I flew back to Atlanta and made it to my singular Thursday class, having finished up my Theory homework on the plane. Also, Kelsey [livejournal.com profile] mirabiliae's family was on the plane, on their way to visit her. And they say "hi" to everybody appropriate.

- It looks like the weather is considering doing something rash, so I'm going to have to run to the park, because it's terribly inviting out :)

- Anything else to say? ... my mind has been remarkably blank. Somewhat disquieting. Eh, I guess it's alright to be low-content every so often.

Dude, try to move the finger next to your pinky without moving any other finger. I think it's impossible, and I have fingers that bend all the way back to touch the top of my hand. Since reading your post, I've been trying it, and it's driving me crazy.

actually we did this the other night... tim can do it -- also i've seen others, but it's the most common defect among humans... or something like that

It's a defect that you *can't* move it or a defect that you *can*?

that you can't... although i suppose i don't know if it should really be considered a defect since (i think) most people can't... or I may just be making stuff up... i dunno -- take what i say with a grain of salt

Good, because if I'm going to be different, I want to be different like everyone else.

how do you decide between icons when commenting?

The red tree icon means I'm sad or unhappy. The scowling little girl means I'm irritated or angry. The girl in the violet dress encompasses everything else. Unfortunately, I have a free account, so I only get three icons.

And yours?

can't say i've seen the red tree one --

um... the default is a crop of one of the first pieces i ran across and liked on DA, the other two are just random and change when I have time or see something that catches my eye

as far as i know there's no real mapping of icon=>mood (as my mood pretty much stays the same)

The cherry walk, just for you, even though I'm not sad.

I really like your default icon.
