- Classes for Spring: Foundations of Machine Learning and Data Mining, Natural Language Processing and Learning, and "Adaptive Personalized Information Environments". All three at once is probably way too much, and I might find out that the ML class is mathier than I can handle... but Alex Gray radiates brilliant...

- ... oh yeah, and I need a job for next semester still... hrmm... I also need a way to get more energetic...

- Aesop Rock, oh my goodness. So much awesome. Apparently he and The Perceptionists (Mr. Lif, Akrobatik, and DJ Fakts One) are on the same label. Pretty exciting, if you're into that sort of thing... hey! They (The Perceptionists) are going to be in Atlanta next week... after the Laurie Anderson show, shall we head out there?

*sniffle* I wish I could go see Laurie Anderson and then the Perceptionists with you. And take those courses, too.

Portland, Atlanta... not too far, yes? And our couch is orange and fluffy.

If you get the plane tickets, I'll get the show tickets handled :)

Hmm. Orange and yellow loft in Portland vs. orange and fluffy couch in Atlanta...*considers*

Hmmm

Sounds like amazingly difficult and complicated and utterly incomprehensible classes to me. Although I'm sure you'll enjoy them much.

What kind of job? And you're fairly energetic the last I checked, what happened? *injects a dose of energy and ultimate?*

Uhmmm...*blank smile*

Ooohhh... they'll be difficult and complicated, but, y'know, I've been doing this for a couple more years :) You'll be fine when you get there. (and I don't really know what I'm doing anyway -- it's all an elaborate farce)

I'd like a research or TA job, probably -- something to get my tuition covered so that the parentals don't have to worry about it, and something with a fun project...

How're your classes coming? Are you taking anything fun these days?

lol, you always say it's a farce, and everyone is *still* in awe of you.
But yeah, I don't think I'll ever get there, not my area at all. Although listening to you talk, I wish it could be.
Fun project? Do research!!

Classes are fun, Mike has forgotten how to do division in Java.
*^^* Theory isn't quite as fun as I thought it would be, mostly because I haven't the motivation to watch the telecast.

I have to second that.  Since when has the fella who once wrote his own guide to being cheerful lacked energy?
