Tonight we're working on prob-stat and the play for Spanish... and mathworld is super-useful for the former... and one of the most important things I've found on there is ... the dreaded Frivolous Theorem of Arithmetic!!

Life is good, deep down inside. I do this because I choose to do this. There's no great need or moral imperative... I just have arranged things such that, if I'm going to get both of these things done on time, I can't really sleep tonight, and I've made the judgement call that I'd rather get them done. So there! You know, I used to be a lot better at the whole all-nighter thing... just haven't had the occasion to do this, this semester...

... and I went and lifted with Chris V, earlier, and he's pretty well strong, and just generally good company. He's got a tendency to discuss philosophy and AI and whatnot -- we were mulling over the problem of "what is humanity/sentience/will?"... which comes down to the whole Determinism Question, normally. Chris gets many cool points.

Hrm. Back to probstat.

*laughs* New icon; I just like the "my fandom ..." icons that other people have, so I thought I'd make one myself. That's Linus, in the photo, although it's a fairly old shot of him; he's filled out a bit over the years.

Today's been pretty well busy -- after just a little bit of sleep (I ended up passing out for a while last night), there was a demo for our (smallish but instructive) OS prj1, the prob-stat test (it was non-stressful, because I was at the point where I thought, "eh, I don't really remember the last few weeks of class, so I'll just see what I can do with this"), and the performance of "Una Mariposa Blanca", for Spanish. The latter went quite well, actually -- everybody's costume looked good, and most of my lines came out appropriately (there was some improv in there)... but I almost completely munged one scene, which was fairly important... but we kept the flow going, and it's a good show, and the characters were convincing. It was enjoyable. And frankly much better than the other play that was presented today...

Hrmm... and I think we're headed to the CoC to do prj2 for Operating Systems, in a bit... the idea, I think, is to make it work tonight. We haven't started yet...

... and tomorrow, I'm going home in the early afternoon. Yay for home! :) :)
