starting a new community...
Dec. 24th, 2003 07:27 pmHey keeds :)
Like all of the trendy LJ addicts, I'm starting a community, and mine will be called
geekfitness. No longer will I be posting descriptions of my runs or liftings in this journal -- I know how fascinating that is for everybody, but those are going to the community.
However! However! I really think this could be a helpful thing. I'm envisioning it as a place for people to be like online workout-buddies for each other. It'll be understood that everybody there is at least marginally interested in how far you ran or how your lifting session was (or how long you played badminton, or whatever) and it could be helpful support for people who want to get stronger or just feel a need to talk about it. New years resolutions? Fitness goals? Finding a workout partner? Yes! Perfect!
That, and frankly, all of you guys could use a little help :) It's open -- just pop on over to
geekfitness. We'll see how well this works.
