holy crap: research project...

After all these years of being tangentially connected with slsk, I finally got on it today, because I can't find my Talking Heads album, but I wanted to listen to it, so I thought "eh, I'll just go download it. Surely somebody on soulseek has got that."

... and then I found the Spanish channel on slsk chat. Freaking crazy. They're speaking an amalgam of Spanish (it's mostly Spanish), English, and German, and it's all mildly l337-ified... and I can read it. Utterly bizarre.

one chatter said: "akien le gusta aki el drum&bass?" ("A quién le gusta aquí ...", "Who here likes drum and bass?")

... he's replacing all of his "qu"s with "k"... and this is pretty common on this channel... yow.

That, and now I've got the "Stop Making Sense" album again, yay :)

Okay, this could be a tremendous time-drain. Back to work...
