"Friday morning, I'm waking up..."
Aug. 13th, 2004 01:08 pmI've been kinda restless for the past few days, just sort of hanging around in Tallahassee... it's been entertaining, but I think I'm ready to get back into it, be around more people...
The highlights of the past few days, though, have included...
- Jam session with the younger-younger sister! Taren's picking up the guitar after frightfully little instruction (last time I was home, she just picked it up, found some diagrams for how to play chords, and went at it), and she learned Hole's "Doll Parts" and I pulled out the bass, and we were rocking out.
- Lunch with Brett
zip4096... it's always good to see Brett :) We checked out Rice Bowl, which I'd never been to before, and they seemed slightly confused but still served up tasty Szechwan tofu. And we ran into Zach from Maclay, who, back in the day, played trumpet and hung out with Yuval... but now he's three years older and studying to be a veterinarian.
- Hanging out with Lloyd -- we've been lifting and eating and playing midnight racquetball with Lacy and Eugenia... and we went to go see Napoleon Dynamite, and it was really quite good, and we all built a fort... like out of couch cushions and blankets and chairs and stuff. Everybody needs to be five every so often. Last night, those two crazy kids whose names start with 'L' wrote another play, for those of you who remember Lloyd's play, when he came to visit...
... but yeah. I'm about ready to skip town, I think... *twitch twitch*
