"He's just a rascal!"
Aug. 14th, 2004 02:43 amBack in Atlanta, yay :)
Two notable things about the drive back up...
- I was listening to Dizzee Rascal's "Boy in Da Corner" album, and it's excellent... Dizzee is something like an amalgamation of The Streets and Busta Rhymes, if you can imagine that -- very British, very energetic, likeable, aggressive-sounding without being annoyingly over-macho... he's young, though, and you can feel it. He sounds like a spastic, twitchy 19-year-old, which is apparently exactly what he is... and he comes up with lyrics like "I wear my trousers ridiculously low"... brilliance, particularly in the context :) Many thanks to Brett
zip4096 for the disc!
- It may be the case that the So So Def Recordings billboard that used to greet me to Atlanta is no longer there... I'd always looked for it, coming in from the south on I-75, but this time, I didn't see it. Ah well... it could be sad, but eventually the stars will burn out.
Zot!!
