Latin American leaders have welcomed the election of Tabare Vazquez to the Uruguayan presidency.
The victory for his leftist coalition brought two-party rule in Uruguay to an end for the first time in 170 years.
Venezuela's left-wing President Hugo Chavez said Mr Vazquez's election heralded a step towards the shaping of a new South America...
- I spoke with Dr. Angus L. M. Thom McLean III (who has an intimidating name, but seems like a pretty cool guy) today about the MS program here at Tech -- and he thinks that if I want my first name to be "doctor", I should go away now, but if I want, I could stick around here too. Also with Bill, who thinks I should stick around for a while first to build up my gradstudent muscles, and with several other people, who have various opinions. I think I've come to the conclusion that it's good that I'll be doing the GRE on 11 December, and that there's No Wrong Choice when it comes to staying for the MS or going elsewhere instead. Sticking around for a bit certainly seems more comfortable and less frightening, though...
- Vote, damnit.
- Other than that... working on stuff. Also eating tasty Greek food with the Whitney and her friend Erin. Also joined the Tech breakdancing club, officially :)
