- There exists such a thing as Krautrock, which is sort of an ambient-experimental-partly-electronic funky thing that was happening in Germany in decades past. One of the more notable bands from this movement is called CAN, and one of their more notable songs, "Vitamin C" is often played at breakdancing practices 'round these parts (because it's just sick -- and the rest of the album is full of similarly phat beatZ). So I went and found one of their albums, "Ege Bamyasi", on slsk... highly recommended. slsk it up; I'm trying to imagine you finding this stuff in a record store.

- Whitney and I saw "The Incredibles" last night, and it was quite good :) I was impressed. It managed to be simultaneously funny and uplifting-without-sap, cute and a very good action movie. The characters are beautifully done, and the backgrounds are lovely, and the dialogue is witty, and... yeah. Also recommended. Also probably a bit easier to find than obscure German bands from the 70s.

- Apparently, Tim [livejournal.com profile] neuroticmonk has never played "Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!" for the NES. This explains so much.

- There are always lots of things to do.
