totally wild news!

I know how excited all of you are about this, but tonight, I got an urge to dig into a project that I've been perpetually meaning to get done, and only working on in spurts, like over the past few years: the ever-present Translate San Manuel Bueno, Mártir into English Project... and I'd been planning on copying it into a big text file so I could have physically typed out the whole thing, just to make sure I've got a good handle on all of it, and so when I'm translating, I can be looking at one open window with both languages present...

... and now the transcription is done. And I've started in on the translation, but now I'm tired and I'ma go sleep. But that feels good. And perhaps I'll get a first draft of the translation done over Christmas break. I think this should actually be easier than the transcription, just in terms of getting-myself-to-do-it.
