- Back in Atlanta :) The drive went really quickly and uneventfully. Except there's a BP with an amazingly cheerful sailboat-themed men's restroom near Cordele.

- Today was wonderful, though... I got to see most of my favorite Tallahassee people, many of them simultaneously! :) Lloyd and I were hanging out at Black Dog, and we just randomly ran into Jessika and Alex M. and Alex's brother Steve (who showed up as a group), and Alan (you know -- the Real Alan. He showed up independently)... and then, in a stroke of bizarreness, the illustrious Jenn V was there as well! Totally crazy! I hadn't seen her in a very long time, but she sounds like she's doing well... so many cool people :) Black Dog is funk-tastic. Pictures will be online soon. And Brett [livejournal.com profile] zip4096 showed up not too long thereafter, and everybody (especially Jenn's friend Jessica) was very excited about this -- we made sure of that.

- Brett, that ska CD you gave me is utterly incredible, and made my drive that much more pleasant. Thank you :) I'm adding "mournful trombone solos" as an LJ interest.

- I have a better idea what I'm going to write about for the philosophy paper. Hopefully I'll be able to get that done by Sunday-ish.

- Okay, sleep time.

- So I did say that I'd post pictures from the trip, yes? Well:

- This song, it turns out, is the one from the introductory sequence to what was possibly the very greatest Iain Softley film of 1995, Hackers. You know, the bit where Dade/Zero Cool/Crash Override gets a visit from the FBI as a little kid, up to the point where he's wistfully looking out the window of the plane... but I'm sure I scarcely need to remind any of you.

- What was that? Philosophy paper?
