We had a lovely party at Blake's house last night; a bunch of old friends from highschool showed up, including Brett![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
zip4096 and Garrett lomonthang and Brooks and Melanie (hadn't met Melanie before, but she and Brooks are together, and they're terribly cute :) ), and Blake and Joanna (also together, also terribly cute) and Kthaw and Vanessa -- and there was a big bonfire, even though it wasn't that cold. And some of us roasted marshmallows, even without sticks. I hadn't seen Vanessa for a really long time, but it was great to see her... I'd heard all sorts of conflicting stories as to what she'd been up to, but she seemed cheerful. And Blake and Brooks played music (they're really good guitarists, and they write their own songs), and at one point, I'd borrowed a guitar and played some chords, and Blake just chimed in with improv finger-picking, and it was beautiful. But it was wonderful to get the opportunity to chat with people :) (like the raving drunk that I am, I had about three fluid ounces of champagne, a sip of Red Stripe, some sparkling grape juice, and several bottles of water)
