- For the weekend, the Whitney [livejournal.com profile] elysianboarder and I headed to Tallahassee, which was beautiful and perfect :) It was warm and sunshiny (because, you know, we were in Florida), and we walked in the woods and bounced on the trampoline and visited people and had coffee and tasty food and sat on the dock out by the lake at the paternal unit's house. Yay!

- This afternoon, there was a girl unicycling in a very practical, matter of fact manner, through a crowd of people, near Tech Square. It looked like she's recently adopted this as her means of transportation 'round the campus. I was greatly impressed.

- Patrick sent me lots of code to look at for research, and this is greatly pleasing :) Yay for things to do and learn and understand!

- Esther [livejournal.com profile] eponis, remember that directory full of music from your friend Christy that you uploaded to me a long time ago? I hadn't gone through it 'til today... but it's got so much happy industrial and whatnot, and I was greatly pleased. Thank you :) (also, if you're missing any of those files, I can certainly send them back your way)

- Spain seeks 9,138-year jail term: Spanish prosecutors have requested a prison sentence of 9,138 years for an Argentine ex-naval officer accused of crimes against humanity, from the BBC world news. Two things about this: So things aren't nearly as bad here as they were in Argentina and Chile during the Guerra Sucia -- but in a few decades, what are we going to find out about the current regime? Also, apparently in Spain, for Really Bad Things they occasionally hand out multi-thousand-year jail times, which I think is an interesting criminal law tactic...
