Change of plans!
Mar. 22nd, 2005 02:30 amSo tonight I had dinner with the paternal unit and the paternal unit's spousal unit, and it was at "The Main Ingredient" (which, Whitney
elysianboarder, is the place that we tried to find a few weeks ago -- now we know where it is) and it was delicious, yay :)
Afterwards, I hung out at the Black Dog for a while and thought and read and continued to not be impressed with this John Searle guy -- I think his book, in which he's trying to show that he's cleverer than this Daniel Dennett guy (and includes exerpts from Dennett) actually does just the opposite -- trying to argue against Dennett (who's somewhere between being a Computationalist and a Reduction-Materialist, when it comes to talking about minds, which is OK by me), he just ends up looking silly. But what, as they say, ev.
And I hung out with the G-UNIT
lomonthang for a while, and that was lovely (he has all sorts of interesting items at his house and all sorts of interesting knowledge in his head), and tomorrow instead of hanging around in town, I'm going back to Atlanta with the Brett
zip4096, because there's a showing of a bunch of cartoon shorts, and it'll be cool, and we'll see The Real Alan, and y'know, why not? *dances, excited*
Okay, time for sleep -- tomorrow's going to be involved!
(ooh, also, I've been running every day of the break so far, and I'm getting a tan. So there.)
